UN General Assembly Week in New York

Ms. Foluke Michael, CEO/Project Director of CYCDI and EFCC- Creative Youth Initiative Against Corruption will be joining other global leaders at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York, USA on 21 September, 2017. UN Global Compact will brings together an international community of leaders from business, civil society, academia, Government and the United Nations to accelerate business action and partnerships to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Paris Climate Agreement.

With less than 5,000 days to meet these Global Goals by the 2030 deadline, the Leaders Summit seeks to challenge the status quo and the business-as-usual mindset. Featuring progressive and exciting plenary speakers alongside SDG-themed networking opportunities, the Summit will focus on how the UN Global Compact community can deliver measurable impacts for sustainable development.

By raising the ambition level, driving innovation and measuring the impact of responsible business action rooted in the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, we can ensure a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous future for all.

The Creative Director of CYIAC, Ayodeji Oluwadare stated that EFCC-CYIAC is anti-corruption initiative to build a nation we want through sustainable creative development in children and youth; which is in line with Principle Ten (10) of United Nation Global Compact. He further disclosed that ambitious targets are set to reach children, youth and businesses across Nigeria, our bold innovation which will be launched on 9 December, 2017 will help to deliver the SDGs.

CYIaC will achieve culture of integrity and a nation free from corruption through educational development in Literary Arts, Paintings, Digital Communication, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Information Technology.

According to Ms Lise Kingo- CEO and Executive Director of UN Global Compact “we are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work with companies everywhere to turn risks into opportunities, make the Global Goals local business, and accelerate momentum towards meeting the 2030 deadline.
